TŪTURU ORIGINAL HOODIES AND TEES
Introducing our signature design from the Tūturu Design Co range, simply called “Tūturu”. The kaupapa of this design is the same as our label. “Tūturu” means to be real, permanent, actual or true. The design represents the idea of being true to you who you really are, no matter where you go or how the environment around you might change.
Within the design are the elements of a person. The spiritual aspect is portrayed by te aho wairua – the line of descent from our ancestors running through the centre of the design, unbroken, unending. The central maui style koru is the hinengaro (mental aspect) unfurling from the centre and out to the edges lined with smaller koru representing growth of the tinana (physical aspect). The opposing pair of kaperua denote the opposing but paired aspects of a person that provide balance for the whole.
